Hunton & Williams LLP Partners Walter Andrews, Michael Mueller Focus on Florida Market Clients

March, 2015 - Miami, Florida

Hunton & Williams LLP welcomes partners Walter J. Andrews, of the firm’s McLean office, and Michael J. Mueller, of the firm’s Washington office, to its Miami office. As members of the firm’s insurance coverage and retail and consumer products litigation practices, respectively, Andrews and Mueller will turn their focus toward representing the firm’s national and international clients in the Florida market.

“We are excited about the opportunities for our clients by having Walter and Michael in the office on a regular basis,” stated Juan C. Enjamio, managing partner of the firm’s Miami office. “Their presence in Miami will provide an important bridge in providing our clients with Florida and Latin American operations significant experience in the insurance and class action fields.”

Walter J. Andrews is head of the firm’s insurance litigation and recovery practice. He is the past chair of the ABA Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee and of the Insurance Coverage Committee of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel. He has more than 25 years of experience handling insurance-related issues, including counseling, litigation, arbitration and insurance coverage audits involving insurance issues arising from many of the major natural and man-made disasters over the past quarter century, such as hurricanes and e-commerce internet exposures and terrorist attacks. Andrews will continue to work with companies in a diverse range of industries, such as financial services, consumer products, food and beverages, chemicals, real estate and municipalities.

Michael J. Mueller is co-head of the firm’s retail and consumer products litigation practice group. He is past chair of the ABA Antitrust Section’s Civil RICO Committee and the ABA Labor & Employment Law Section’s Antitrust, RICO and Labor Law Committee. Mueller focuses on class actions and other complex civil litigation cases, including pretrial proceedings, trials and appeals. In the past 28 years, he has handled class actions in many substantive areas, including consumer products, wage-hour disputes, securities, and RICO claims. He has tried 12 class action or representative actions to verdict—perhaps more than any other lawyer in the United States.
