Eduardo S. Espinosa Elected to Dallas Hispanic Law Foundation Board

Dykema announced today that Eduardo “Eddy” Espinosa, Dallas-based member of the firm’s Business Services Department, was elected to the Board of Directors for the Dallas Hispanic Law Foundation. He is serving a two-year term that concludes on December 31, 2018.

The Dallas Hispanic Law Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization committed to the advancement of Hispanics in the legal profession. Since its founding in 2006, the Foundation has awarded more than $285,000 in scholarships and internships to Hispanic law students and provided numerous grants to Hispanic high school and college students with interest in the law.

In his practice, Espinosa (i) administers various estates for the benefit of defrauded investor victims; and (ii) advises clients regarding the legal and regulatory aspects of commercial and transactional opportunities.

As a court-appointed receiver, trustee or receiver’s counsel, Espinosa works to maximize the value of insolvent entities in order to make a fair and equitable distribution to their creditors. His experience covers a variety of industries with an emphasis on life settlements. Beyond the insolvency arena, his transactional practice covers an enterprise’s entire lifecycle including: formation; capitalization; governance; domestic and international transactions; mergers and acquisitions; securities offerings; reporting requirements; and regulatory enforcement.

Espinosa, who earned an J.D. and an M.B.A. from Tulane University, and a B.B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin, is also involved in the Hispanic National Bar Association and the National Society of Hispanic Masters of Business Administration.
