Jeana R. Long Elected to Food Bank of the Rio Grande Valley Board of Directors

Dykema announced today that Jeana R. Long, McAllen-based attorney in the firm’s Financial Services Litigation practice group, was elected to serve on the Board of Directors for the Food Bank of the Rio Grande Valley.

Founded in 1983, the Food Bank of the Rio Grande Valley is a champion to those organizations who focus on making food accessible to the Rio Grande Valley, including Hidalgo, Willacy and Cameron Counties. Today, it is the 36th-largest food bank in the nation and 6th-largest in Texas based on distribution.

In her practice, Long assists clients with matters related to creditors' rights and bankruptcy, with a special focus on the representation of banks, financial institutions, and lenders in bankruptcy cases and contested matters. She also represents creditors in lawsuits against borrowers and guarantors in courts throughout the state and in arbitration.

Long earned a J.D., summa cum laude, from Texas Tech University School of Law and a B.A., summa cum laude, from The University of Texas at San Antonio.
