Dear WSG Members,
I hope this message finds you well. It is hard to believe that half of 2020 has passed, all while the world and our businesses strive to find the new normal under which we can prevail and prosper. Since last quarter, our world has continued to change, as has the manner in which we have been called upon to adapt and proceed with "business as usual" under extremely unusual circumstances.
During these ever-changing and challenging times, World Services Group has continued to advance and adapt to offer our members opportunities for successful business partnerships by utilizing and fine-tuning our digital and technology platform to offer you more ways to connect. The need to stay connected and interact with each other during these times has truly show-cased the strategic importance of not only our global membership network, but also our technology platform and database.
WSG has just announced the first-ever virtual Global Symposium and 2020 Annual Meeting, scheduled for 16 September 2020, which will consist of a series of online interactive webinars and discussions to examine the challenges and opportunities that lie in the wake of the COVID-19 Pandemic. Meanwhile, WSG's Regional Dialogue Webinar Series and Practice Group Webinars have continued to grow and serve as a way to bring members virtually closer, while keeping abreast of developments within the groups various regions and practice areas. Additionally, we are working to improve the WSG Global COVID-19 Task Force and Resource Center to help bring value to you by providing access to Member webinars, articles and legal information.
Going forward, WSG is going back to the basics, beginning with taking a fresh look at the tools available to members and focusing first on those which bring the most value. The Board has agreed to a brand refresh project, which should commence in the upcoming months. During this time, WSG will be contacting you regarding information updates, requesting that your firm implement the synching module to keep firm information current and RSS feeds to keep fresh content feeding into the system.
On behalf of the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors, I wish to thank Maricarmen and our dedicated team in Houston for all of their hard work in making the transition during this pandemic so seamless and productive. I also wish you all well in the coming months, and ask that you continue taking advantage of the WSG digital and technology platform to stay connected and to leverage the many advantages it offers you and your firm.
